The blog is like your neighborhood bar or pub.  It's where we tell the tales, sing the songs, chant the chants, and drink the drinks.  Everyone is on equal footing... we're never going high-hat

Going High-Hat (Talking Through His Hat):

James Brady or "Diamond Jim" was born in an apartment above his fathers saloon on the West Side docks of Manhattan.  The bar was a true neighborhood watering hole where business deals and politics were the order of the day.  It's also where Jim honed his ability to relate to the common man--mostly dock walloping scalawags from the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood.   As a a young man he got a job working as a bellboy where he observed Manhattans social elite.  It was here where Jim's fire to attain the American dream was truly lit.  He would make his mark as a salesman and eventually rise to become a millionaire railroad tycoon hobnobbing w/ industrialists and Hollywood elite.  Jim would often say to make money you have to look like money.  High Hats and diamonds became a part of his persona.
